‘Lobbying’ with Croatia’s Gastronomic Offerings

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration is organizing the Croatian Food Festival at the United Nations building in New York, a four-day gastronomic event showcasing original and recognizable Croatian specialties.

The aim of the event is to present Croatia’s economic and tourism potential. As part of it, an exhibition titled BeCroative will be opened, highlighting Croatia’s contribution to world heritage. United Nations member states organize gastronomic weeks to promote their countries, but also as accompanying events aimed at lobbying for particularly important positions within the United Nations bodies.

This event, in addition to providing a comprehensive presentation of Croatia at the UN headquarters in New York, will fit into the activities of Croatian diplomacy as part of the final lobbying of the Republic of Croatia for a non-permanent member seat on the UN Security Council. (HRT)
