The Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) and the Bavarian Hanns Seidel Foundation are organizing a conference on Thursday, September 27, titled ‘The Impact of NATO Membership on the Economy – Opportunities for Entrepreneurs’.
At the conference, Croatian and foreign experts from the economy, science, and politics will discuss the economic opportunities brought by joining the NATO alliance. Tom Herway from NATO C3 will explain in detail the ways to contract with NATO, as Croatian companies can become official suppliers to the Alliance through membership. The conference will be opened in the HGK Hall by the President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Nadan Vidošević, and Aleksandra Markić Boban, head of the Hanns Seidel Foundation Office. The NATO alliance comprises 26 countries, and šix members of the European Union are not members of this military alliance, while France, although a member, has refused to place its military forces under the command of the North Atlantic Alliance and to accept their military bases.
