A two-day international conference on the stability of the Western Balkan states is being held in Brdo near Kranj. Among others, former high representatives of the International Community for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Paddy Ashdown and Wolfgang Petritch, are participating in the event.
Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel highlighted the issue of Kosovo’s status as the greatest threat to the stability of the Balkans. He believes there is no solution that will satisfy both Belgrade and Pristina, and he described the idea of dividing the province as disturbing. He emphasized that the future of all Western Balkan states lies in their integration into the European Union, as reported in the morning news of Croatian Television.
