Merkur d.d. Sarajevo opened a shopping center in Kamenica near Bihać on Friday, covering a total area of 1,600 square meters. In the hypermarket, customers can choose from 15,000 items, and 35 employees have found jobs.
– We will offer the citizens of Kamenica and the surrounding area the best and largest selection of products of proven quality at the most favorable prices, enabling customers to find everything they need in one place – emphasized Nijaz Druško from MIMS marketing. The rich offer of fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh meat, dairy products, and a variety of bakery products, along with a wide range of household products, will certainly meet all customer needs. The new center has employed 35 staff members, and the working hours are from Monday to Saturday from 7 AM to 10 PM, while Sunday hours will be shortened.
For all customers in the newly opened stores, Merkur has prepared numerous events. On the opening day, customers received special gift packages, and for the first week of opening, a sales catalog with over 100 attractive products at exceptionally favorable prices has been prepared.
Adnan Kozić, the executive director of Merkur, handed a gift voucher to the association ‘Joy of Gathering’, which brings together 46 children with special needs. – We are glad that Merkur has come to Kamenica, and this gift voucher will help our members, especially those who are socially most vulnerable. Our desire is to develop sensitivity in the community towards children with special needs through the work of the association. Every such donation especially pleases us because it tells us that we are on the right path – stated Mirsada Hodžić, president of the association and mother of a child with special needs.
