Slovenes, Driven by Their Own Positive Experience, Rush to Buy T-HT Shares

It is no coincidence that Slovenians have been writing about T-HT in their newspapers in recent days and advising their citizens on how to acquire its shares. Namely, Telekom Slovenije has increased by more than 50 percent since the beginning of the year, prompting Slovenians, driven by this experience, to rush for potential good earnings across the border.

Comparing it with Hrvatski Telekom, the market capitalization of Telekom Slovenije today is 2.9 billion euros, while HT’s will be approximately 3.5 billion euros. Telekom Slovenije is traded at a multiple of 28 of its one-year earnings, while HT will be sold at a multiple of 12. It is easy to make comparisons based on other indicators and conclude that Slovenians, driven by positive experiences with their domestic telecom, are rightly interested in a company that generates the highest added value and net profit in the Republic of Croatia.

There are still successful telecom stories in the region: for example, that of Russian Rostelecom, which has grown by 35 percent and today has a market capitalization of 5.7 billion euros, but there are also those like Magyar Telekom, which has lost seven percent of its value since the beginning of the year, or Telekom Austria, with a 12 percent loss. Which side HT will align with will be seen after a year.   (Ivana Bergam)
