The total public debt of the Republic of Croatia at the end of June this year amounted to 118.88 billion kuna, which represents 43.4 percent of the nominal value of the expected GDP for this year.
In the structure of public debt, the total debt of the general government accounted for 87.5 percent, or amounted to 103.97 billion kuna, while the remaining 12.5 percent, or 14.9 billion kuna, related to issued state guarantees, according to data from the Ministry of Finance. According to the Ministry of Finance’s latest monthly statistical report, the total debt of the general government, which includes foreign and domestic debt of the central government, extrabudgetary funds, and local government, at the end of June this year amounted to 103.97 billion kuna. This is 989.3 million kuna more than at the end of May, while compared to the end of last year, the general government debt increased by 1.8 billion kuna, or by 1.8 percent. (H)
