The Management Board of the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts (HOK) accepted the proposal for a list of certain products that can be made in home production and the proposal for a list of services (maintenance and repairs) that can be performed as secondary occupations at today’s meeting in Vinkovci, proposed by the Craftsmen’s Association of Production Crafts and the Craftsmen’s Association of Service Crafts of HOK.
The decision on the proposed lists will be sent to the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, which is responsible for adopting the lists, HOK announced. It is reminded that the Croatian Parliament adopted the Law on Amendments to the Crafts Act in June this year, which reintroduces the possibility of performing craft activities in the form of home production or secondary occupations, after it was abolished in 1993.
Certain products from the activities of free crafts contained in the product list can be made in home production, and certain maintenance and repair services from the service list can be performed as secondary occupations. Both lists are proposed by the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts, and adopted by the Minister of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship.
The Management Board supported the initiative for the allocation of solidarity funds, within the annual budget of HOK, which would be intended for aid grants in the chamber system, and the decision to allocate HOK aid in the amount of 400,000 kuna to the Osijek Association of Craftsmen. The money is intended for the reconstruction of the Osijek Craftsmen’s Home, which was destroyed in a fire on August 10.
Additionally, the Management Board discussed drafts of two legal texts: the law on tax numbers and the law on state aid for education and training. The Board also accepted the Decision on the establishment of the Department for Economy and International Cooperation in HOK. (Hina)
