IBM Thinkpad Celebrates Fifteenth Anniversary

In 1992, IBM produced the Thinkpad 700, which immediately became a recognizable brand of laptops. Today, 15 years later, in honor of the first Thinkpad, Lenovo, which acquired IBM’s computer manufacturing chain in 2005, has released the Thinkpad Reserve Edition

The anniversary computer has been issued in a limited series of five thousand units with a price of five thousand dollars. The luxurious touch of this computer, in addition to its price, is given by the hand-stitched leather that covers the laptop. This computer is actually the existing model ThinkPad X61s, which contains an Intel Core 2 Duo L7500, Windows Vista Ultimate, and Microsoft Office Small Business 2007, Wi-Fi wireless connection and Bluetooth, a 12.1-inch screen, two gigabytes of RAM, a 160-gigabyte hard drive, a USB recorder, while the built-in battery is expected to provide up to seven hours of uninterrupted operation.
