The sugar factory Viro donated 200,000 kuna to the families of the deceased and injured firefighters in the fire on the island of Kornat.
– We deeply sympathize with the families of the firefighters who suffered in the terrible accident on Kornat. This donation is an expression of solidarity from all the workers of the sugar factory Viro and our desire to somehow alleviate the pain of losing loved ones and help the families to at least in one segment cope more easily with this tragedy, emphasized Damir Barić, CEO of the sugar factory Viro.
– The tragic suffering and death of the firefighters have deeply shaken us, as well as the entire Croatian public. We want to preserve the memory of those who bravely, selflessly, and modestly carried out their duties in saving lives and nature. With our donation, we primarily want to pay tribute to these brave people and help their families, added Željko Zadro, procurator of the sugar factory Viro.
