The results of our measures will be seen in the future, not overnight. I believe that Mesić’s proposal regarding the exchange rate is not good either, said Deputy Prime Minister Damir Polančec to Lider, commenting on today’s criticism from President Mesić during the opening of the Autumn Fair.
He also emphasized the significant problem of citizens’ indebtedness to banks šwhich could have negative social and economic consequences. The President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Nadan Vidošević, believes that the problem of exchange rate policy has been lingering since the stabilization program. -In my opinion, a turnaround is not possible overnight. There is one component that was not present when the stabilization program was launched, which is the high indebtedness of citizens through loans; therefore, when everything is taken into account, I am not sure that the president is right, said Vidošević.
