It has been six years since the attacks on the World Trade Center buildings in New York and the Pentagon. Two hijacked passenger planes crashed into the Twin Towers, one into the Pentagon building, and the fourth hijacked aircraft crashed in a field in Pennsylvania.
The attacks were carried out in the morning hours, and no one survived on any of the hijacked planes. Approximately three thousand people were killed. The main suspect in this terrorist attack is the militant Islamist group Al-Qa’ida and its leader Osama bin Laden, who is still at large. (H)
