The Croatian Government today decided to transfer real estate owned by it to the city of Beli Manastir and the municipalities of Gornji Kneginec and Sibinj for the construction and establishment of entrepreneurial zones and small business zones.
The construction and expansion of entrepreneurial zones in these locations, it was emphasized, is an incentive for economic development as well as for reducing the unemployment rate to the Croatian average. At today’s session, the Government also accepted the program for the construction of part of the first phase of the regional water supply system Neretva – Pelješac – Korčula – Lastovo – Mljet. The Government also adopted a Decision on border crossings where a border veterinary inspection has been established in the Republic of Croatia. The session also discussed the report on the implementation of the National Strategy for Combating Drug Abuse in 2006.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Family, Veterans and Intergenerational Solidarity Jadranka Kosor emphasized that last year the coordination of all involved in the National Strategy and the implementation of the Action Plan for Combating Drug Abuse was improved. As she stated, there was also an increase in drug seizures. In the closed part of the session, the Government, among other things, accepted the proposal of the Minister of Culture Božo Biškupić to reappoint the current director Stjepan Ćosić as the director of the Croatian State Archives for a new term.
