Croatian Tourism Week in Japan

Organized by the Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Japan, a workshop for Croatian travel agencies is being held from September 9 to 16, featuring business discussions with more than 50 representatives of the Japan Association of Travel Agents.

Croatian companies will participate in the JATA World Tourism Forum and will showcase at the tourism fair organized by the HTZ. At the initiative of members of the Croatian Association of Travel Agencies, the HGK, in collaboration with the Croatian Embassy in Japan and the Japan Association of Travel Agents, will hold workshops for Croatian travel agencies aimed at connecting economic entities from Croatia’s tourism sector with Japanese tourism companies, as well as presenting the Croatian tourism economy to the Japanese market. The workshops will take place at the JATA World Tourism Forum, which is in the interest of Croatian tourism companies, allowing them to establish business contacts and gain new insights into the global and Japanese tourism markets. Thanks to excellent cooperation, JATA representatives have ensured wide distribution of information about the workshop and encouraged their members to participate.

A group of travel agencies from Croatia, along with 54 travel agents from Japan, mostly presidents and directors of Japanese travel agencies, will participate in the business meetings and discussions. The Japanese partners will be welcomed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in Japan, Dr. Drago Štambuk, representatives of the Croatian Tourist Board, and the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb, while representatives of the Croatian Chamber of Economy will present Croatian tourism to Japanese entrepreneurs. On this occasion, Japanese travel agents will become better acquainted with Croatia’s tourism offerings, particularly with city breaks, cultural tourism, themed and cultural tours, and individual travel. The program includes the promotion of Croatia and the City of Zagreb through films in Japanese. A round table discussion on destinations will also be held, along with individual discussions with travel agencies accompanied by Croatian wines, Jana water, bajadera, and gingerbread.
