A contract for the construction of a new state port worth 220 million euros will be signed in Zadar

The signing of the contract for the guarantee and financing of the construction of the new state port Zadar-Gaženica, an investment worth 220 million euros, of which a loan from the German Development Bank KfW is 120 million euros, and 100 million euros are funds from the European Investment Bank (EIB).

These funds will finance the project of relocating the ferry terminal located in the center of the old town core and the construction of a new ferry port in Gaženica, located 3.5 kilometers from the city center. The start of construction of the terminal is planned for next year, with completion in 2012. The contract will be signed by Finance Minister Ivan Šuker, Director of the Port Authority of Zadar Ivica Burić, President of the EIB Matthias Kollatz, and Head of the Energy and Transport Department for Europe at KfW Claudia Loy.
