The oil, margarine, vegetable fats, mayonnaise, and delicatessen products manufacturer, Zvijezda, achieved a net profit of 12.63 million kuna in the first six months of this year, which is an increase of 24.5 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the company’s financial report published on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
The company’s total revenues amounted to 345.88 million kuna, an increase of 1.95 percent, and the increase in revenue, as explained by the company, was particularly contributed by the rise in exports. Thus, revenues from sales abroad increased from 51.87 million kuna to 65.5 million kuna, representing a growth of 26.26 percent. Conversely, revenues from domestic sales decreased from 269.87 million kuna to 269.4 million kuna. The business results commentary states that revenues from the sale of finished products and commercial goods increased by 3.93 percent.
The total expenses of Zvijezda, a company within the Agrokor group, in the first half of the year amounted to 332.88 million kuna, which is an increase of 1.96 percent compared to the same period last year. The increase in expenses is a result of the growth in sales of its own products and commercial goods, as noted in the business results commentary.
