The average net salary of employees in legal entities in Zagreb for June this year amounted to 5,820 kuna, which is 78 kuna, or 1.3 percent less than the previous month, according to data from the Department of Statistics of the City Institute for Spatial Planning.
The decline in the average net salary in Zagreb on a monthly basis can likely be attributed to the fact that employers who paid holiday bonuses mostly did so with May salaries. Compared to the average salary in Croatia, which was 4,848 kuna for June, the average net salary of employees in Zagreb for the same month was higher by 972 kuna, or just over 20 percent. The average net salary of employees in legal entities in Zagreb for the first half of this year was 5,742 kuna, which is nominally 5.2 percent higher than in the same period last year.
The average net salary in Zagreb paid during July for June in the economy was 5,827 kuna, while in non-economic activities it was 5,804 kuna. The highest average net salary for June in Zagreb was received by employees in air transport, amounting to 8,816 kuna, which is 51.4 percent higher than the Zagreb average.
