City of Opatija Acquires 25 Percent Plus One Share of LRH

The City of Opatija has acquired 75,661 shares, or 25 percent plus one share of the hotel company Liburnia Riviera Hoteli (LRH), the company reported in a statement published on the Zagreb Stock Exchange. LRH has, as stated, today received a notification from the City of Opatija regarding the acquisition of shares of that company.

"The notification from the City of Opatija states that on August 22, the Central Depository Agency executed the transfer of 75,661 shares of Liburnia Riviera Hoteli from the Croatian Privatization Fund (HFP) to the City of Opatija," the statement reads. According to SDA data on the ten largest shareholders of LRH, the largest, with a 58.57 percent stake in LRH, is HFP, 25 percent is held by the City of Opatija, while all other shareholders hold stakes of less than one percent.

The agreement on the transfer of 25 percent plus one share of LRH to the City of Opatija, or the transfer of 75,661 ordinary shares, each with a nominal value of 3,200 kuna, was signed in mid-June by representatives of HFP, the City of Opatija, and the Management of LRH, and the Government gave its consent to this agreement at the end of July.
