The Union of State Officials and Employees today requested the commencement of collective bargaining for the company Pleter – usluge d.o.o.
This is a state-owned company established by a government decision to carry out commercial, catering, hotel, and other service activities previously conducted by the former Real Estate Management Service of the Ministry of Defense (MORH), the union’s statement says. Pleter, based on an agreement to take over employees from the Real Estate Management Service, committed to taking over all officials and employees who expressed a desire to work for the new employer and to offer them indefinite employment contracts with a social clause prohibiting business-related dismissals for a period of two years.
Pleter currently employs 396 workers, of which 284 are employees of the Ministry of Defense and 112 are engaged in the labor market. The Collective Agreement for State Officials and Employees applies to its workers, with the employer obligated to initiate negotiations for a collective agreement at the company level within one year. Since Pleter has been operating for nine months, the Union of State Officials is seeking to initiate collective bargaining at the level of Pleter, in order to translate the good cooperation of social partners into a collective agreement.
