Lightning Recovery of Global Markets, Crobex Lost 1.45% in Value

Central banks around the world have salvaged what can be salvaged, ensuring sufficient liquidity for fallen sinners. Stock markets have recovered at lightning speed: the European and American markets jumped by 1-2%. The Chinese CSI index (Shanghai Stock Exchange) rose by 12% and has achieved a return of 156% this year, far ahead of the second-ranked Ukrainian PFTS index with 97%, which lost 2.5% this week. The Crobex index shared the fate of the minority, losing 1.45%, yet still holds the seventh position in terms of year-to-date returns.

Crobex closed the week at last week’s minimum of 4736 points, with 12 stocks rising and 18 falling. Ina, with -22 points for the index, took the most points away and was also the most traded stock of the week. On Thursday, it recorded a trading turnover of 25 million kuna, and managed to finish the week above 2600 kuna. Other stocks traded very weakly, as evidenced by the fact that only Ingra managed to achieve a turnover of 5 million kuna mid-week.

Atlanska plovidba added 19 points to the index and finished the week at 2350 kuna (+6.7%). 1-2 points were added to the index by AD Plastik, Korifej, and HUP Zagreb, while Adris, Podravka, and IGH took away 7-11 points each. The biggest loser of the index is Đuro Đaković, which decreased by 13%, Luka Ploče – 9.36%, and Luka Rijeka – 7.18%. These are also among the biggest losers of the past week. Imperial DD, however, leads in first place with a 17.50% loss.

The listing of T-HT on the stock exchange is announced for mid-September. Currently, the market capitalization of the Croatian stock exchange is around 50 billion dollars. T-HT could add 2 billion dollars to that number or 4%.
