The Osijek chemical industry Saponia increased its net profit in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year by 14.35 percent, according to the consolidated financial report published by the company on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Saponia’s net profit for the first six months amounted to 5.09 million kuna, while in the same period last year it was 4.45 million kuna. According to the consolidated report, Saponia’s total revenues increased by 10.93 percent, to 254.03 million kuna. From sales in Croatia, Saponia generated revenues of 130.83 million kuna in the first half of the year, while sales abroad amounted to 103.91 million kuna.
Total expenses in the first half of this year amounted to 248.93 million kuna, which is 10.87 percent higher than in the same period last year. Saponia is a company with a 113-year tradition and 857 employees. It offers approximately 500 different products categorized into consumer detergents, toilet products, and industrial and large consumer supplies. The majority owner of Saponia, with 87.3 percent of the shares, is the company Mepas from Bosnia and Herzegovina. (Hina)
