The decline in the prices of a large number of stocks on the Zagreb Stock Exchange raises the question of how many investors in such a situation will be willing to sell those stocks in order to use that money to buy, for example, shares of T-HT or Atlantica, which have announced their IPO for the fall.
‘If such a situation of volatility continues, then it will certainly be questionable,’ says the director of the investment firm To-One, Josip Galinec. He believes that this volatility could be of medium-term duration, and it will be interesting to see how mature the domestic market is to go through this crisis. Although, considering the growth of the stock market since the beginning of the year, the decline in the last two days is almost negligible, still five to six percent, globally speaking, is not small, claims Galinec.
By 1 PM, there was no recovery in prices on the Zagreb Stock Exchange. The decline in value continued with the stock of Ina down by 4.3 percent, which is already double what it was yesterday. The stock of Magma is down by 1.4 percent. After yesterday’s decline of 6.65 percent, the stock of Ingra is recovering today, correcting its price by 1.6 percent. The stock of Dalekovod, after yesterday’s decline in value of nearly five percent, is easing its decline today, which was 0.7 percent by 1 PM. Yesterday’s biggest loser, the stock of Tehnika, has dropped an additional 2.7 percent by mid-day today. The stock of Ledo has also continued to decline in value, by about 6.1 percent, as well as KonĨar Elektroindustrije by 1.7 percent. (L. K.)
