Nestlé in the first half of the year improved by 31% compared to last year

In the regional market (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Macedonia), Nestlé Adriatic achieved sales of 230 million kuna, which is 31% more than in the same period of 2006. A total of 4,700 tons of products were sold, representing a 16% increase compared to the first half of last year.

Nestlé Adriatic in Croatia achieved sales of 85 million kuna during the first half of 2007, as announced by the company. This sales growth is a result of better and greater availability of Nestlé products in the Croatian market, as well as continuous investment in innovations of key brands such as Nescafé, Kit Kat, Lion, Maggi, etc.

On a global level, as of July 31 of this year, Nestlé achieved sales of 51.1 billion Swiss francs, representing an increase of 8.4% compared to the same period in 2006. This was primarily achieved based on organic growth of 7.4%, which is based on actual internal growth of 5.3% and a price increase of 2.1%. The integration of Novartis Medical Nutrition, which began on July 2 of this year, as well as the planned acquisition of Gerber in the second half of the year, will ensure that Nestlé’s healthy food sector achieves annual sales of 10 billion Swiss francs and becomes a global leader in healthy food production.
