Kutinska Petrokemija achieved a profit of 1.8 million kuna in the first half of this year, while in the same period last year it operated with a loss of 23 million kuna, according to the financial report published on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
The achieved profit, the Management emphasizes in a comment, is the result of higher production and sales than planned. The Kutina-based producer of mineral fertilizers generated total revenue of 969.1 million kuna in the first half of the year, which is 14.8 percent higher than planned, and 15.9 percent higher than in the same period last year.
According to the data from the report, Petrokemija generated 453 million kuna in revenue from domestic sales, which is 8.4 percent higher than in the same period last year, while revenues from foreign sales increased by as much as 22.5 percent, to 477.5 million kuna. By segments, the highest revenue of 851.2 million kuna was achieved in the production of mineral fertilizers, 68.5 million kuna in the production of carbon black, 25.6 million in the production of clay, and 23.8 million kuna from other activities.
Total expenses of Petrokemija in the first half of the year amount to 967.3 million kuna and are 7.8 percent higher than planned, or 12.6 percent higher than in the first half of last year. Material costs and costs of goods sold amounting to 720 million kuna are 5.4 percent higher than planned, and 5.3 percent higher than last year’s achievement, which the Management of the Kutina company explains by the increase in production.
