Luka Rijeka achieved a profit of 4.2 million kuna

Luka Rijeka achieved a net profit of 4.18 million kuna in the first six months of this year, which is 56.8 percent higher than the profit in the same period last year when it amounted to 2.66 million kuna. This data comes from the financial report of the Port of Rijeka published today on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

In the Port of Rijeka, 2,682,113 tons of cargo were transshipped in the first half of this year, which is six percent more than in the same period last year. The company achieved total revenue of 105.69 million kuna in the first half of this year, which is 10.8 percent more than in the first half of last year. Of this, operating revenue amounted to 105.6 million kuna, of which 73 percent was generated in foreign markets and 27 percent in the domestic market.

Total expenses of Luka Rijeka amounted to 101.5 million kuna and were 9.5 percent higher than in the first six months of last year. In operating expenses, which amount to 97.8 million kuna, the share of material costs is 30 percent, personnel costs 48 percent, and other costs 22 percent. Shares of Luka Rijeka increased by as much as 30.83 percent to 870 kuna on the Zagreb Stock Exchange last week, with a turnover of 18.9 million kuna.

The largest shareholders of Luka Rijeka are the Croatian Privatization Fund with 49.85 percent and the Croatian Health Insurance Fund with 16.10 percent. They are followed by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute with a share of 7.1 percent, Croatia Insurance with 5.55 percent, Zagrebačka Bank with 3.69 percent, and others. (H)
