No offers have been received by the Croatian Privatization Fund (HFP) for the purchase of a 51.79 percent stake in Ribnjačarstvo Končanica by the deadline, which is today at 2 PM, although the company Božjakovina has purchased the bidding documentation.
The majority stake in Ribnjačarstvo Končanica was offered in the first sale attempt at a nominal price of 3.57 million kuna, and shares from the portfolios of HFP and the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute were offered for sale. According to the Privatization Act, the price can only be reduced after the completion of this so-called “zero” tender, i.e., the sale at nominal price.
This is the oldest fish farm in Croatia with 24 ponds, of which freshwater fish farming is currently conducted in only seven. The total area of the ponds is 1,474 hectares, of which 1,000 hectares is water surface, while the size of active ponds is 520 hectares. The company’s equity amounts to 6.9 million kuna, and its assets total 8.8 million kuna, while the total liabilities of Ribnjačarstvo Končanica at the end of last year were greater than 1.68 million kuna.
