Toll Revenue of 22.44 Million Kuna Over the Weekend

Croatian Highways (HAC) recorded 573,741 vehicles and 22.44 million kuna in toll revenue (excluding VAT) on all highways they manage over the past weekend, from August 3 to 5, as reported by the company.

When comparing these figures from HAC with those from the previous weekend, there were 8,600 more vehicles on their highways last weekend, while toll revenue was lower by 580,000 kuna. HAC indicates that this depends on the category and the amount of toll paid on specific sections of the highways, as well as different traffic patterns. HAC’s data also shows that last weekend, the highest traffic volume, around 202,000 vehicles, and toll revenue of 11.31 million kuna (excluding VAT) was recorded on the Zagreb-Split highway. On this highway, compared to the previous weekend, about 1,000 more vehicles passed, but toll revenue was lower by approximately 330,000 kuna. On the Zagreb-Lipovac highway, about 3,000 fewer vehicles, or 153,000, passed, and the toll revenue of 8.38 million kuna was about 450,000 kuna less than that of the previous weekend.

Preliminary data from the Rijeka-Zagreb highway company shows that 342,805 vehicles traveled on this highway last weekend, while toll revenue amounted to nearly 8 million kuna. Compared to the previous weekend, this is about 20,000 fewer vehicles and approximately 480,000 kuna less in toll revenue. The company Bina-Istra recorded a total of just over 78,000 vehicles at the toll booths of the Učka Tunnel and the bridge over the Mirna River last weekend, collecting just over 1.76 million kuna in tolls (excluding VAT). Compared to the previous weekend, there were nearly 4,000 fewer vehicles, and toll revenue was about 120,000 kuna less. The company notes that this represents a slight increase compared to the closest weekend last year, and they expect their ‘peak times’ during this year’s weekend following the Assumption of Mary. They also add that they regularly record strong daily traffic, with over 10,000 vehicles. The Zagreb-Macelj highway company reports that a total of 100,818 vehicles passed on that highway last weekend, which is about 6,000 fewer vehicles compared to their data from the previous weekend. They do not provide data on toll revenue. (H)
