Scholastic Inc., the publisher of the latest and final book about the boy wizard Harry Potter, will need to print several million more copies to meet reader demand. The book sold 11.5 million copies in the first ten days of sales, so the initial quantity of 12 million books will be insufficient.
The company currently plans to print an additional two million copies and then monitor how demand evolves. Total sales of all Harry Potter books have reached 350 million copies worldwide. (H)
