Zagreb Stock Exchange Increases Share Capital by Issuing 37,500 New Shares

By depositing 37.5 million kuna, which is the value of the newly issued shares, the share capital of the Zagreb Stock Exchange has been increased to 40.4 million kuna, with the largest individual shares, each holding 5.54 percent, held by the brokerage firm Interkapital and Podravska banka.

According to the notification from the Central Depository Agency (SDA), the increase in the share capital of the Zagreb Stock Exchange was executed in the Agency’s system on August 1. The share capital of the Zagreb Stock Exchange was increased by issuing 37,500 new ordinary shares, each with a nominal value of one thousand kuna, thereby increasing the share capital from 2,908,000 kuna by 37,500,000 kuna. After the increase, the total share capital amounts to 40,408,000 kuna and is divided into 40,408 ordinary shares, each with a nominal value of one thousand kuna. On the list of the ten largest shareholders published by the SDA, following the aforementioned largest individual shareholders are the brokerage firms Hita-vrijednosnice and Auctor, each with 3.38 percent of the shares, Hypo Alpe-Adria and Hrvatska poštanska banka, each holding 3.31 percent of the shares, ICF with 3.3 percent, and Privredna banka Zagreb, Erste Securities, and Zagrebačka banka, each with a share of 3.29 percent. The decision to increase the share capital by issuing new shares through a private offering, which could only be subscribed by existing shareholders of the Zagreb Stock Exchange, was made by the General Assembly on May 30 of this year, and the decision was clarified by the need to align the share capital with the provisions of the Securities Market Act.  (H)
