Armani Dresses Chelsea Footballers

London’s Chelsea footballers will be dressed by Italian fashion guru Giorgio Armani for the next three years, who accepted the offer on Thursday to create suits for the club from Stamford Bridge.

"I accepted the offer with enthusiasm because I enjoy working with footballers. They are very appreciative of the work, and as idols of the youth, they set new trends, so I expect our collaboration to be fruitful," said the famous fashion designer to Gazzetta dello Sport. New Armani creations in Chelsea’s navy blue will be presented in London on Sunday, when Manchester United and Chelsea will face off at Wembley in the English Super Cup match "Community Shield." Armani’s last job with footballers was with the England national team back when it was led by Sven-Göran Eriksson. (H)
