Varteks Fashion Brands in the Russian Market

Varteks presented itself to the Russian market at the recently held Collection Premiere Moscow fair with its autumn and winter 2007/2008 product line. The company announced its entry into the Russian market, which has been confirmed by an agreement with an agent who will open a Varteks showroom in Moscow.

In accordance with the strategy of expanding the sales network in foreign markets and strengthening exports, Varteks announced its entry into the Russian market, which is now confirmed by an agreement with an agent who will open a Varteks showroom in Moscow, a space where Varteks fashion brand collections will be displayed and the placement of Varteks collections in that market will be coordinated. Varteks generates almost half of its revenue from foreign markets and accounts for 10 percent of the total exports of the Croatian textile industry. It is present in a total of 20 countries worldwide, including Russia from now on.

The increasing popularity of CPM (Collection Premiere Moscow) is proof that Russia and Eastern Europe are very attractive markets for the international fashion industry. At the eighth edition of the fair, held from February 27 to March 2 in Moscow, new standards were set that further strengthened CPM’s leading position among clothing fairs in the region. Over four days, nearly 17,000 traders from Russia and other countries in the region visited the fair to select collections for their stores for the upcoming autumn and winter.

More than 1,200 collections from exhibitors from a total of 35 countries were presented, representing an 11 percent increase compared to the previous season and as much as a 20 percent increase compared to last year. The organizers decided to expand the exhibition space by an additional 10,000 square meters for the eighth edition, bringing the total to 50,000. The strongest exhibitor at CPM is traditionally Germany with 134 represented companies, followed by Italy, Denmark, Finland, France, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey.
