The Slovenian food producer Droga Kolinska has once again reported a profit in 2006, reaching a value of 20.2 million euros compared to a loss of 42 thousand euros in the previous year.
The company exceeded analysts’ expectations by 29 percent with its earnings. Sales revenue increased by 22 percent to 192.4 million euros, surpassing analysts’ expectations by four percent. The company is soon to be fully acquired by its largest shareholder, the energy and tourism conglomerate Istrabenz, which currently holds a 60 percent ownership stake. The offer to acquire the remaining 40 percent of shares expires on March 28, with a value of 91 million euros. (H)
