Inspection did not find irregularities

During the inspection of the Karlovačka pivovara facility, the environmental protection inspection did not find any irregularities in terms of the Air Protection Act or the Waste Act, announced the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Spatial Planning and Construction.

The inspection was conducted because on February 23 at around 7 PM, while walking along the stream in the immediate vicinity of Karlovačka pivovara d.d., a person fell into a coma, and a dog died on the spot.  The inspection began at the scene of the incident on Saturday, February 24, and continued today from early morning hours. The inspection was jointly conducted by the labor inspection, sanitary inspection, and environmental protection inspection. The water management inspection, which was not present, was also informed about today’s inspection, the announcement adds. The environmental protection inspection will inform the water management inspection for further action regarding the oversight of the drainage system, as well as the State Attorney’s Office and the Ministry of the Interior.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection also stated that the 112 Information Center notified the environmental protection inspection on February 24 at around 12 PM that on February 23 at around 7 PM, while walking along the stream in the immediate vicinity of Karlovačka pivovara d.d., a person fell into a coma, and a dog died on the spot.  The environmental protection inspection reacted immediately upon notification, went to the field, and informed the water management and veterinary inspection as well as the County Eco-Staff, the announcement states.  The Chief State Water Management Inspector Željko Makvić told Hina that the water management inspection and he personally would conduct an inspection at Karlovačka pivovara this afternoon.  (H)
