Lenovo has announced a new desktop computer, the ThinkCentre A55 Small Form Factor, equipped with leading technologies such as the Core 2 Duo processor and the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, housed within a case the size of an average briefcase.
As companies seek ways to utilize office space more efficiently, the area designated for desktop computers may soon become a target for IT managers and business owners. The ThinkCentre A55 SFF is on average 64 percent smaller than traditional Lenovo Tower Form Factor cases and 25 percent smaller than classic Lenovo small desktop computers.
Its smaller footprint can free up desk space for other items such as an additional monitor for dual-monitor setups or for a personal printer and scanner. The new desktop computer comes equipped with Lenovo’s ThinkVantage (TVT) technology, such as Rescue and Recovery and Client Security System, which help reduce costs for data recovery and password management.
