Revenue Growth of Nine Percent

Total revenues of Carlsberg Croatia last year amounted to 411 million kuna, representing a nine percent increase compared to the previous year, the brewery announced. The total sales volume of Carlsberg Croatia was 569,296 hectoliters, which is a 15 percent increase.

 Sales in Croatia increased by 8.6 percent, while the export sales volume recorded a growth of 50 percent, the company stated. They emphasize that Carlsberg Croatia’s market share in the domestic market at the end of last year was 13 percent, compared to 12.6 percent at the end of 2005, making it the third largest brewery in the Croatian market today. The CEO of Carlsberg Croatia, Jorn Pedersen, expressed satisfaction with the achieved results, highlighting that they recorded a record market share of 17 percent in January of this year.

Carlsberg Croatia reported a new organizational structure for Carlsberg companies in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Bulgaria, named Carlsberg South East Europe. Isaac Sheps has been appointed as the CEO of Carlsberg South East Europe, who will also serve as the CEO of Carlsberg Serbia and Carlsberg Croatia. The position of CEO of Carlsberg Croatia will be taken over on April 1, replacing Jorn Pedersen, who has held the position for the past four years.

Carlsberg Croatia is part of the Danish brewing group Carlsberg, which last year achieved a net income of 5.5 billion euros, an increase of eight percent compared to the previous year. The operating profit amounted to 542 million euros. This year, Carlsberg plans a net income growth of about five percent and an operating profit of 4.5 billion Danish kroner, of which about 4.3 billion Danish kroner will come from brewing activities.  (H)
