Zagreb School of Economics and Management, in collaboration with PBZ Card, is introducing a new elective course Introduction to Card Business. Starting from February this year, students in their final year of the master’s program and MBA program at the private higher education institution with public rights, ZŠEM, will have the opportunity to attend this new course, taught by experts from PBZ Card.
The introduction of the course Introduction to Card Business confirms the increasing significance of the card industry, the exceptional growth dynamics of this market, which currently comprises around 8 million issued cards. The collaboration with PBZ Card, the largest card institution in Croatia and the region with a thirty-five-year tradition, along with leading experts in card business in Croatia, will provide ZŠEM students not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical examples, thereby enriching them with knowledge and skills for navigating and succeeding in a competitive and globalized economy. This approach integrates Introduction to Card Business into the modern curriculum of ZŠEM, which is designed based on the best American business schools, and includes a lot of personal work, the preparation of individual and group seminars, and literature research.
– We are extremely pleased that ZŠEM has recognized the importance of card business and that our experts will be teaching this course. The expertise and success of PBZ Card is also confirmed by the fact that today, in addition to the Croatian market, we process card business for members of the PBZ Group and the Intesa Sanpaolo Group in the markets of Central and Eastern Europe. Alongside lectures, PBZ Card experts will also be mentors during the preparation of thesis papers, and this is an opportunity for students to establish contacts with potential employers, emphasized Nina Oberiter-Gluhak, CEO of PBZ Card.
