Mobile Elegance

The mobile telecommunications industry certainly belongs to men in black suits. Barcelona, or rather that part of it where the World Congress 3 GSM is held, is their natural habitat. Women can only be glimpsed here in traces. There are not even any long-legged hostesses, who are indispensable at all fairs. Here at the booths, mostly men in black suits stand, the visitors are mostly men in black suits, and the journalists are predominantly men, but very rarely in any suits.

A colleague assures me that this is because ‘women are not interested in technology.’ I fear I do not have enough arguments to convince him otherwise. I truly do not recognize revolutionary technological achievements at this congress. I had hoped to find the real novelties by following the largest crowd created by men in black. However, such a tactic does not help here. The crowd is literally in every corner of the space. I had to inquire and thus find out what is the hit of the season among mobile devices. According to general opinion, it is LG with its models Shine, Chocolate, and Prada.

Interestingly, in the catalog where the models are presented, everything is designed to look as if these are mobile devices intended exclusively for women. Regardless, all these models are characterized by top-notch elegance. Following LG in attractiveness is Samsung with its Ultra models, also very elegant, but not so aggressively aimed at female users. Today, I am leaving the world of men in black suits. For more comprehensive information on technological novelties at the World Congress 3 GSM, I refer you to the websites of mobile phone manufacturers.
